When we deploy a camera inspection
Not every blockage requires a camera. We deploy an inspection when there is an issue that you cannot resolve with unclogging alone:
- For recurring blockages. If the same drain clogs again within a few months, there is something else behind it.
- In case of an unclear cause. The drain is draining poorly, but there is no apparent reason.
- In case of suspected damage to the pipeline.
In case of subsidence. A realistic possibility for older sewers in Amsterdam. - With ingrowing tree roots. Roots seek moisture and find their way through small cracks and connections.
When we deploy a camera inspection
With a camera inspection, we see exactly where the problem lies and what it is. That is the difference between targeted repairs and guessing.
Without an inspection, the only way to determine subsidence or root intrusion is to open it up. With an inspection, you know in advance, and therefore you also know where you do and do not need to dig. Based on what we see, we recommend a targeted solution.
We often combine the inspection with the unclogging itself, so that the pipe is clear first and the camera provides a clear image.
